Hon. Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine

Dr. Ayine is the Founder and Senior Partner at Ayine and Partners. He has over 25 years experience in law practice and over a decade of experience in teaching law. Until recently, he was the Deputy Attorney General of the Republic of Ghana, a position that he held for four years. He garnered significant experience in many areas of the law whilst working as Deputy Attorney General, including practice before the Supreme Court of Ghana and international arbitral tribunals such as the London International Court of Arbitration and the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce.

As Deputy Attorney General, Dr. Ayine led various teams of State Attorneys and foreign lawyers to international arbitration hearings including the case of Dunkwa Continental Goldfields v Government of Ghana, ICC Case No. 18294/ARP/MD/TO (2015).

His Practice focuses primarily on oil and gas law, commercial disputes, international trade advisory services, and trial and appellate criminal defence. Dr. Ayine has worked closely with internationally reputed law firms in Europe and North America in executing transactions in Ghana and abroad.

Dr. Ayine received his Bachelors of Law (LL.B) from the University of Ghana and went on to study for his LL.M in International Economic Law at the University of Michigan Law School, Ann Arbor, USA and Doctor of Science of Law (JSD) at Stanford University Law School, Palo Alto, California, USA.
